Render of Nokia’s music accessory with NFC dubbed ‘Guru’ gets leaked

Even though we’re a day away from Nokia World, it doesn’t mean leaks can’t still happen. The latest this morning is for the Nokia ‘Guru’, which was revealed by evleaks to be akin to an “iPod Shuffle with NFC” built in.
While Nokia has been known for their phones and well-made accessories, it’s not too farfetched to imagine them making a music accessory.

While details are lacking on how the ‘Guru’ would work exactly, it seems like it would pair, via NFC, to your Windows Phone and serve as a virtual DJ to play your music on. In addition, it seems to allow you to run your wired headset to a clip-on device, rather than plug it into your phone. That clip-on feature could make it easier to use at the gym, while running, or other sports activities.
The ‘Guru’ actually looks to be an updated version of Nokia’s previous music accessory, the BH-214 Bluetooth headset (or BH-111). That’s a device that came out back in 2009 and it hasn’t had a replacement. Combined with Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and some Lumia colors, we can see ‘Guru’ being another fun accessory from Nokia. (We also know that Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore is a fan of the legacy BH-214, as can be seen in the image above.)
We haven’t heard of the Nokia ‘Guru’ being announced tomorrow at Nokia world, so we’re not sure if we’ll see it this week, but we’ll certainly keep our eyes peeled.
