Still no official word from Google on when we can expect the Nexus 5 to arrive, however it looks like things are progressing as expected. We have already seen the handset appear in an FCC filing and more recently, it looks like the Nexus 5 has made an appearance with the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). The filing shows the model listed as being the LG-D821 and as we often see here, there wasn’t much revealed in terms of specifics.

While this filing was light on details, it is not like we haven’t seen plenty of rumors and leaks. Looking towards that side and we are expecting the Nexus 5 to arrive with a 5-inch 1080p display and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM. There has also been mention of LTE support, a 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera and 8 megapixel rear-facing camera.

The storage and battery options seem to be telling an interesting story lately. We recently saw details suggesting the Nexus 5 would be available with either 16GB of 32GB of internal storage space. Nothing all that surprising just yet, but the battery size appears to vary depending on the storage. It was said the 16GB model would have a 2300 mAh battery and the 32GB model would have a 3000 mAh battery.

Otherwise, a service manual leaked and that offered a look at some specs. For example, that manual touched on how the rear-facing camera would have optical image stabilization (OIS). And sticking with that topic, DigitalOptics recently debunked the rumor about the Nexus 5 having a MEMS camera. That honor instead will be going to OPPO and found in the recently announced N1 smartphone.

That all having been said, the rumors and leaks seem to have spilled just about all of the specs. Not to mention, given us a look at what can be expected in terms of the hardware. Of course, we do have to remember that nothing is official until we hear direct from Google. Until that time, make sure to keep an eye on our Nexus 5 hub.
