Unu Tablet Does Gaming On The Move As Well

What you see above might seem to resemble one of those cheap tablet cum console clones that China loves to churn out, but before such judgment is passed, how about taking a closer look at it? The Unu device happens to be able to function as a tablet, where it can also double up as portable game console, and also a home entertainment center device, now how about that? Unfortunately, the Unu which was originally scheduled for a summer release this year, has been delayed, but thankfully this Android-powered device has not been delayed all the way until sometime next year. Just what kind of hardware specifications can we find underneath the hood for the Unu tablet? It will arrive with a 7” display at 1,280 x 800 resolution, with a couple of cameras thrown into the mix as well – a 2-megapixel shooter in front, and a 5-megapixel camera at the back. Apart from that, it will also be accompanied by 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, HDMI output, a couple of USB ports as well as the ability to tote around another 64GB of storage space thanks to a microSD memory card slot. The Media Edition of the Unu will retail for $200 a pop, while the Gaming Edition will feature a game controller, allowing the Unu to be flexible enough in engaging a wide range of folks. Will it make a dent in the market where the PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS rule at the moment? Not really, but it is an interesting alternative.
