Apple updates Remote app with iOS 7

Apple still hasn't brought all of its apps in line with the design of iOS 7, but today it's crossing another holdout off the list. The Remote app has been updated with a new look that's right at home in Apple's latest mobile OS. All the hallmarks (and transparency effects) of an iOS 7 app are here. But aside from the visual makeover and support for iTunes 11.1, it doesn't sound like today's update adds any new features. The company's release notes mention nothing in terms of fresh functionality. At the very least, Remote still serves as a convenient way of controlling Apple TV. iBooks remains the last "major" app that Apple still hasn't refreshed for iOS 7, but the company has also proven tardy in revamping Find My Friends and iTunes U.
